Marisol in Slovakia
Marisol landed safely in Slovakia, but unfortunately her magical carpet was destroyed.
It remained only a few pieces of paper. She knew that she will need them, so Marisol put
them in her pocket.
She found out that people in Slovakia celebrate the Day of Cyril and
Methodious – the scholars who created the alphabet. It is celebrated on 5th July.
Today Saints Cyril and Methodius Day is a national holiday. This year, it is 1,150years
since the arrival of Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia. This anniversary
is an important international event. On this occasion, various projects are
running throughout the year 2013 – exhibitions, conferences, lectures, seminars,
concerts, religious services, educational and interactive programmes for children
and youth.

On the way to school. It was too hot, so children bought Marisol an ice cream. It was so delicious.

Mission in Slovakia
Marisol was searching for the plant she needs for the magical potion. It grows on the biggest river island in Europe. The island is an important reservoir of drinking water and an agricultural region.
She was looking for hawthorn that grows only in these forests. Marisol easily found it and put it in the paper basket she made from pieces of paper hidden in the pocket.
So the magical paper carpet was changed into the paper basket.
Marisol’s mission in Slovakia was complete and she can continue her journey to Italy.
