I am having a great time in Poland now. Apart from attending lessons and playing with children, I am also participating in different projects. Very soon after arriving in Poznań, I was asked to join in the Clean Up the World Campaign (the 20th edition!). Together with other children I cleaned up the school’s play- and sportgrounds. Our main aim was to fence all the plants and trees so that they are not damaged by mistake when children play during breaks.

Wspaniale się bawię w Polsce! Oprócz uczęszczania na lekcje i bawienia się z dziećmi, biorę również udział w różnych projektach. Wkrótce po przyjeździe, brałam udział w sprzątaniu świata (to już 20 rok działania akcji!). Wraz z innymi dziećmi sprzatałam boisko szkolne. Naszym głównym celem było ogrodzenie wszystkich roślin i drzewek tak by nie zostałe one przypadkowo zniszczone przez bawiące się dzieci.

Then, the other day I assisted children when they were burying different things (like an apple core, a plastic bottle and a tin) to see how long it takes before they decompose. I hope they will keep me informed about it as I am really curious!

Z kolei innego dnia, pomagałam dzieciom zakopywać różne rzeczy (takie jak ogryzek jabłka, butelkę plastikową i puszkę) by sprawdzić ile czasu zajmuje rozkład poszczególnych materiałów. Mam nadzieję, że dzieci dadzą mi znać!
